Rotary Queensland Next Century Break Through Project

Together, we'll break through. The aim of the project is to provide an endowment of $5 million dollars to commemorate the first century of service of Rotary in Queesland from Rotarians and other benefactors and philanthropists with the support of all Rotary Clubs and Rotarians in Queensland Districts 9620, 9630, 9640 and 9550. With this endowment the Senate of the University of Queensland will create a Chair (Professorship) at the University of Queensland for research in neuroscience which will exist in perpetuity in the Queensland Brain Institute . The Endowed Chair will be named the Rotary Queensland Chair in Neuroscience. The project was launched at District 9620's District Conference March 2023 with the support of the then District Governor Tim Keeler AM. Rotarian Professor Lt Colonel Dr. Graeme Nimmo RFD, husband of Her Excellency the Governor of Queensland Rotarian The Honourable Dr. Jeanette Young AC PSM has consented to be the Patron.
